Iran arrests German diplomats

The Islamic Republic of Iran is claiming that Germany is responsible for the Ashura protests of December… and they say they arrested two German diplomats in retaliation.
Now… the only problem here is finding out what the hell is going on.
Press TV, the state English-language news service of Iran, says that two German embassy staffers were arrested by the Iranian government.
The German government is denying that any diplomats were arrested.
The New York Times is not sure about either story. Here is how the newspaper of record put it:
